"My back problem began in December of 2012. I had no idea what was happening. The pain was on the left side of my body, it would start from my feet and travel to my back. It is impossible to continue to go about my day. I've tried the migraine medicines, including the self injecting shots that leave you with that "hungover" feeling. He never "cracks" or "pops" my neck. Others have done that and it terrified me. Dr. Snow does do needle acupuncture, but usually I have the electronic stimulation, that does not use needles. It takes only seconds, it painless, and it very effective.

The office staff is friendly and professional. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes and can always get an appointment that works with my schedule. The office is open until 6pm so I can even go after I get off work.

"I had been living with strange pain for several years before I finally was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Thus my research began to better understand just what it was. I know that I was in major pain and was really having a difficult time doing everyday things. After going from doctor to doctor, only to be given pain pills and being urged to exercise, I was listening to the radio one day and heard Dr. Snow's Friday radio show on KPRT. He really sounded like he knew what he was talking about. His demeanor was very gentle and authoritative. I went to his website and downloaded what turned out to be a more than 150+ questionnaire. He asked EVERYTHING! There was no health topic that he did not touch on.

When I called Dr. Snow's office, I was greeted with a very kind and understanding staff and I had enthusiastically let them know that I had already filled out the questionnaire so that we could expedite treatment. The doctor took x-rays, explained everything that he was going to do and had me totally at ease. My major complaint was low back pain, joint pain, and the inability to walk without pitching forward. Dr. Snow WILL let you know if he can help you.

It has been a little over 6 months and I am happy to say that my co-workers comment on how beautiful my posture is, how my disposition is better, my blood pressure is lowered and I am looking forward to getting off some of the current medicines that I am taking. The pain is so much less and, that being said, I am a regular at my exercise class now.

I am glad that I followed my first mind and made that visit and I am thankful every day to Dr. Snow and his outstanding staff. I recommend him to anyone who is suffering from chronic pain. Pain medicines can be addictive and can also have harmful side effects. Before considering surgery, get a second, and maybe a third opinion. "I originally came to Doctor Snow for treatment of numbness in my hands and feet and for generalized anxiety. I had been to other chiropractors but still the problems persisted.
I initially told Dr. Snow's nurse Melissa that I would not be able to come back because of the cost and Dr. Snow personally took the time to call me and encouraged me to continue coming in. He was certain he could help me. I didn't even notice I was feeling better until one day I realized, "My hands and feet aren't numb any more!" I'd also had pain in my right hip for 15 years, and that was gone, too! I am so thankful.

Our daughter Lucy was born with many birth defects and her urologist had told us she would never have control of her bladder. She's always worn a Pull-Up and we just had resigned ourselves to the fact that she always would. When the best doctors in the field tell you something, you just take them at their word. We also have to use a catheter to empty her bladder every four hours because it doesn't fully empty on its own.

Dr. Snow told me he could treat Lucy for her incontinence, since he was already treating me. I didn't think there was anything to be done for a patchulous bladderneck and a neurogenic bladder, but I knew it couldn't hurt. He was so patient and gentle with her and even started "treating" the stuffed animals she began to bring with her. She loved it, and asked when we could see Dr. Snow again.

After about three weeks of treatment I began to notice something. Lucy was no longer as wet in her Pull-Up as she used to be in between catheterizations (manual emptying of her bladder). Still, the skeptic in me chalked it up to chance and didn't really think that much of it.

One night our family was at a Mexican restaurant and Lucy exclaimed in between bites of rice, "I feel like I need to go to the bathroom!" It was one of those "fork frozen in mid-air" moments you always see in the movies, a moment I will never forget! Her dad looked at me, eyebrows raised, and shrugged his shoulders. I escorted her to the bathroom and she urinated all by herself!!!!!!! She said, "I"m done now!" and got a huge smile on her little face.

Dr. Snow was not surprised when I told him; he said a bunch of things about nerve/brain communication and the use of acupuncture. What I heard was, "NO MORE PULL-UPS!" We are still working on Lucy achieving complete consistency, but we're a far cry from scheduling a surgery that would have sealed her bladderneck shut but allow her bladder only to be emptied by catheter.

I still can't believe I'm writing this. Give Dr. Snow a chance, and you won't believe it either. Thank you, Dr. Snow!"

"This is my story, it's a good one.

I am a 66 year old patient of the Choice of Health P.A. For years I had not understood the importance of good chiropractic spinal care. But I did learn the hard way. Several years ago, working as a paramedic, while lifting many obese and overweight patients, I injured my back. That injury has caused me severe pain and immobility for approx. 10 years. I have spent many days flat on my back in pain. I have seen many doctors, and have taken a variety of prescription pain medications.

I have Spondylosisthesis of the L-5 vertebra, grade -1, (slipped disk) with some arthritis of the joint that has entrapped and irritated the nerve. This has cost me years of savier pain and has periodically kept me from my work. It has limited my ability for getting exercise which is directly needed for this condition. After seeing several doctors, I ended up with an Orthopedic Surgeon where I received an M.R.I. and several cortisone injections which only help for a short interval, the only option left was laminectomy ( surgery). I was told by the surgeon that this would be a last ditch option, because of the possible complication, risk of infection and expense, and that I should try to live through the pain. I was given several medications for pain. When asking if there was any additional therapy I could seek, only one name was given, Dr. Richard Snow. My surgeon suggested I should give him a try, and Dr. Snow was the only chiropractor he would recommend.

I have seen Dr. Snow for a year and a half with great success. Dr. Snow, through chiropractic manipulations, has kept me drug free and reduced my pain to a mild tolerable level, with no loss of work. I have found that Dr. Snow has a real concern for his patients. He has given suggestions, and is gentle with his adjustments. He has an outstanding staff, always cheerful and polite.

He has reduced my suffering, and increased my mobility, and allows me to remain virtually drug free, getting the exercise I need, and doing the " Honey Do" list that never ends.

"We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the chiropractic care you have provided for Alyssa. She started swim team this week and it is going great! At this time last year we never would have imagined that she would be able to participate in this sport ( or many others!) at all or atleast without the use of numerous allergy and asthma medications! It was almost exactly a year ago Alyssa was on seven medications and inhalers to control her ashtma and allergy symptoms. "I am a 49 year old painting contractor in Overland Park. I have always enjoyed playing sports until the age of 42 when I started having foot problems and was diagnosed with plantar fascitis. Over the last seven years I have received many treatments for plantar fascitis such as "the boot", cortisone shots in the heel, rehab exercise, rolling a frozen water bottle under my foot, and trying multiple shoe inserts. I had temporary relief at times, but was unable to continue my atheltic activities and the pain was even affecting my work.
